Like Josh and I wegot rid of internet for a I’m A Grillmaster If BBQ Were Easy It Would Be Called Your Mom shirt while it’sreally really awesome when you don’thave internet cuz like a become moreproductive be like you got to get out ofthe house I mean we run a blog so figurethat out we had no internet and ran ablog so so yeah I would just encourageyou to like maybe introduce some stufflike that in your life right now likeJosh and I we were I don’t think wepublished a podcast yet comes out nextTuesdayboiler alert during the podcast wereported on Tuesday we were talkingabout distractions in social mediaspecifically and we deleted all of oursocial media apps now you might beasking like well how were you guys onInstagram earlier today use the secretyou find a friend with a phone podcastSean and now we’ve got Jess Williams whohelps us out too but you know they dohave those on there and they’ll post theforest but I’ll tell you it makes us itmakes me way more intentional with withsocial media specifically because Idon’t first up I don’t scroll onFacebook so that’s not that was neverreally. Go and and also startbeing a a role model in that sense forfor your child as well and and not justsaying here’s what we’re doing butshowing here’s how I’m letting go andletting go of attachment to these thingsbut as the month progresses with the30 day minimalism game it becomes moredifficult day ten you’re getting rid of10 items day twelve twelve items day 1717 items and so it progressively getsmore difficult now whoever goes thelongest throughout the month wins if youboth make it to the end of the monththen you’ve you’ve both won becauseyou’ve gotten rid of 500 items and Ithink that’s a pretty good startand the cool thing about it is for mewhen I let go of one item over thecourse of 30 days one item a day overover 30 days I ended up letting go ofway more than 30 items because once youget that momentum embracing minimalismgets easier by the day and it becomes asort of good addiction now realizingthough that getting rid of the stuff isnot the point I I think the stuff issort of the initial bite at the Applethat changes everything. I thinkyou’re going to help us contribute to alot of folks this month and hopefullywe’ll get to save some lives in theprocess and one last thing for righthere right now it’s item number threeRyan and I are hitting the road onceagain next week we’re bringing thelessons now tour to Spokane Seattle andPortland and then we’re headed to GrandRapids ChicagoMadison Minneapolis San Diego LosAngeles Indianapolis Cincinnati ColumbusCleveland and like 20 other cities eachnight during the lessons now tour wegive an in depth talk about minimalismfollowed by a live podcast and a Q Asession and of course a whole bunch oftotally optional free hugs after theevent you can find your city and gettickets over at les is now calm some ofthose cities are pretty close to sellingout and so we won’t be adding secondshows in any of those cities I knowsometimes people will say well we’regoing to add a second show at 10 00 p m or somethingI’d say Ron and I give it our all duringthose shows and we are beat especiallyafter doing an hour or so
